Simon’s Town is one of South Africa’s oldest towns and home to the South African Navy. It is a pretty little coastal historic town with a good choice of gift shops, coffee shops and restaurants. There is lots to do for both the adventurous and the less adventurous, from shark cage diving to simply relaxing on our beautiful beaches.
Simon’s Town is an ideal location for nature lovers with its beautiful sea and mountain views, penguin colony and dolphins and whales in season.
Oceans Drift is ideally situated en-route to the Cape Point Nature Reserve a declared natural heritage site with breathtaking views and great cycling and hiking opportunities. The natural vegetation of the area, fynbos, comprises the smallest but richest of the world’s six floral kingdoms. Take the Flying Dutchman funicular at the southernmost point of the park to see the old lighthouse and enjoy the spectacular views. Have lunch at the Two Oceans Restaurant, this restaurant is renowned for its seafood and amazing location overlooking the ocean.
